Orlando Brown House, 1835

Euphemia's Tea Party

On June 20, 2009, Liberty Hall held its first Euphemia's Tea Party.  The year was 1814, and John and Margaretta Brown's 7 year old daughter Euphemia invited girls age 6-12 for a tea party.  Girls decorated their own tea caddies, saw an exhibit of tea items from the Liberty Hall collection, and conversed with Euphemia and her mother Margaretta.  Guests enjoyed tea, scones, shortbread and cupcakes catered by The Meeting House Bed & Breakfast.
