Beth Ann Caffery joined the Liberty Hall Historic Site staff in September 2008. A native of Peoria, Illinois, she completed her undergraduate work in history at Saint Louis University and graduated with a master’s degree in history from Illinois State University with an emphasis in museum studies. Prior to becoming curator at Liberty Hall, Beth’s experiences in the museum field included projects in Illinois, Missouri, and Ireland.

Beth has always enjoyed working directly with objects in order to illustrate history.  One of her goals is to bring a variety of exhibits to Liberty Hall Historic Site and feature items that have been stored away for several years.  When she is not preparing for a new exhibit or working on the comprehensive inventory of Liberty Hall, Beth enjoys researching in archives and scrolling through microfilm in order to better understand the history surrounding Frankfort and Liberty Hall.
