The Kentucky Culture Symposium is about our historical culture and its impact on our culture today. Though often said that museums display objects of the upper class, Common Wealth will explore things commonly owned by the middle and lower classes. Our program will span topics including tall case "grandfather" clocks, chairs, pottery, food storage, and Kentucky heirloom seeds to provide a window into the "Common Wealth" of early Kentuckians.
Speakers and Topics:
Greg Black - Elijah Warner: Clocks Affordable for All
Jeffrey Evans - Come in and have a seat!
Brenda Hornsby Heindl - Kentucky Pottery and Food Preservation
Angela DeHart - Propagating Kentucky Roots: Kentucky’s Heirloom Seeds
