Visit

Liberty Hall Historic Site consists of two historic houses—Liberty Hall and the Orlando Brown House—surrounded by four acres of lawns and gardens. There are two tours per day, Monday - Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. which start at the Orlando Brown House.

The first part of the tour interprets the years 1801-1838.The tour guide will introduce first-floor rooms and work areas restored to the early decades of the 19th century. Guests will see the elegant lifestyle of Senator John Brown and his family as well as learn about the enslaved people who made that lifestyle possible. The second floor houses the Senator John Brown Library and Archives, a furniture exhibit, Kentucky Made, and the bedroom where the famous Gray Lady Ghost has been spotted. Guests may explore the exhibit and the bedroom on their own. After touring Liberty Hall, guests are invited to see the garden on their own.
