Learn how you can support pollinators and other wildlife by incorporating native plants into your landscape.
Join us for a short presentation by Beate Popkin in the Orlando Brown House, followed by a tour of the gardens with our Garden Curator, Isabel Cochran.
Beate Popkin is a native plant expert, longtime garden designer, and member of the Lexington Wild Ones Chapter. Last year, we received a grant from the Kentucky Native Plant Society to add more plants for pollinators to Euphemia’s butterfly garden. We used the funds to purchase several native shrubs that were planted throughout the property. We will be checking in on these shrubs and the many other native plants on site!

Planting Native Plants - UPDATE!
Due to the higher temperatures expected Saturday, we are going to forgo the indoor presentation so that we can see all that there is within the garden before it gets too hot. Don't worry, the presentation will still be available to download!
The garden tour will be led by Beate Popkin and our garden curator, Isabel Cochran. Please bring a notebook because these ladies will have a plethora of knowledge to share. We will still meet at the Orlando Brown House before heading off into the garden. See you Saturday!
